Abstract

The post-2020 global geopolitical landscape has witnessed intensified U.S.-China tensions, a redefinition of regional
alliances, and an evolving perception of semi-autonomous regions like Hong Kong in international affairs. Against
this backdrop, India-Hong Kong relations have acquired renewed relevance. This paper examines whether India's
engagement with Hong Kong post-2020 is primarily driven by economic diplomacy or strategic imperatives shaped
by regional security dynamics.
